Introducing a New Landmark
One of Queen Anne Hill's beloved early apartment buildings is being transformed into a modern landmark of uncommon comfort, beauty and style.
Constructed in 1909, Leona was one of the first multi-family buildings on the south slope of Queen Anne Hill. This handsome three-story building was distinguished by the high level of privacy and seclusion it offered to residences in what was already an established and popular neighborhood. The narrow footprint of the building was specially designed to allow more exposure to natural light from oversized windows. Back then, as now, Leona’s location on the sunnier southern side of Queen Anne and its proximity to downtown made it very appealing to upscale city dwellers.

Today, this century-old residence is undergoing a careful renovation that combines the convenience of in-city living with the charm and character of a landmark home. Parking has been moved underground so that new townhouses can be built on the existing parking lot. In addition, two new penthouses will be added on the top of the existing building. All of these improvements will be carefully designed and constructed to blend with and enhance the surrounding neighborhood and the larger community.
